Who We Are
We are Child Care Resource & Referral, also known as CCR&R. CCR&R promotes and facilitates the availability of affordable, quality child care through assistance, education and advocacy in Will, Grundy, Kendall and Kankakee counties.
CCR&R is a nonprofit agency providing services to families, child care providers, and employers. CCR&R was founded in January of 1991 with the United Way of Will County as its fiscal agent. The organization serves Will, Grundy, Kendall and Kankakee counties and is part of the Illinois Statewide CCR&R System of IDHS.
Family Services
Parents seeking child care may call the convenient child care referral toll free number at 815-741-1162 x227. A child care specialist will offer you assistance related to child care options, child development, licensing regulations, quality indicators and financial assistance.
Parents receive referrals to child care providers that may meet their identified needs. These referrals are not recommendations. CCR&R has over 1,000 child care providers listed in its database. Provider options include: Infant though School Age Care, Center Based, Home Based, Full or Part Time.
Provider Services
CCR&R is dedicated to supporting child care professionals. Providers listed with CCR&R have access to information & resources on starting a child care business, a mentor network, program referrals, training opportunities, and technical assistance. Additional benefits include access to training and accreditation scholarships.
Financial Assistance
Individuals who are income eligible and are working or enrolled in an approved education/training program are eligible for assistance in their child care payments. CCR&R partners with the Department of Human Services in assisting Illinois families with their financial child care needs.
