Program Purpose
The Early Childhood Access Consortium for Equity Scholarship began in May 2024 and scheduled to end June 2025.
The scholarship offers financial assistance which allows early childhood educators the opportunity to gain an Associate of Arts (A.A.), Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) & Master in Education (M.Ed.) degree.
Program Outcome
A new position was created within Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) called the Higher Education Navigators. In this role, the Navigators communicate with providers, employees, current ECE students, helping with the FASFA and ECACE application process.
The Navigators also offer onsite visits, info sessions and other technical assistance to providers & employees within our SDA, while offering onsite meetings and info sessions. The Navigators also meet with colleges and universities within our SDA to help with the ECACE scholarships to potential students by attending open houses, monthly meetings, and other college/university events.
