Sponsored by a grant from the Grand Victoria Foundation, the Shared Services Alliance was formed by CCR&R to improve efficiency and allow for more attention to be centered around the children in care.
Benefits from the Alliance result from economies of scale (which can reduce some costs) and economies of specialization, when educators can focus on what they do best and love most.
Collaboration is at the heart of the Shared Services Alliance. This model seeks to build on the best aspects of collaboration among the member centers, including: vendors (to improve both service and price), training, tech support and information exchange.
Another benefit of the Alliance is marketing support, allowing Alliance members to utilize a consultant to develop and implement marketing strategies to help boost enrollment efforts that would not be financially realistic for individual centers.
