A Lewis University Education
I wanted to thank you all for the opportunity to allow me to pursue my goals that I thought would not be attainable. I have always had a passion for working with child, in the past I operated a home daycare and worked in schools as a paraprofessional.
In October 2021, my job of seven years closed and left me clueless and without a plan. After a few days of being out of work I received an email from CCR&R about the ECACE grant, I reached out and inquired about it and was provided with the steps to apply. I immediately applied and was approved for all tuition and fees with no out of pocket expense.
Since enrolling I have been on the Dean’s list and nominated to the National Society of Leadership and Success. I have also received so much support from instructors and leadership at Lewis University. I have connected and built relationships with mentors within the educational field. I am extremely grateful and excited about my journey as a future educator!

Another ECACE Scholarship and Great Advisors
The ECACE scholarship has been very impactful in helping me support my classes for college. I was not aware of the program until I began working for an organization that educated me on the benefits the scholarship could have towards my educational career.
The process to enroll was very simple in addition I felt very supported along my journey, there are advisors strictly dedicated to the Early Childhood Education department who are very familiar and well informed on how the scholarship works and how it can apply to Early Childhood degree.
Another benefit I found very helpful was that the scholarship runs through the summer, which is great seeing as though most financial aid funds do not. This helped me tremendously with navigating my summer classes and schedule! and will keep me on track to be successful in reaching my future goals.
I would highly recommend this scholarship to anyone who is considering an education in Early Childhood!
