Description: This two-part training will provide infant and toddler teachers with a deeper understanding of early language
development and the foundations of early literacy development. During Part 1, participants will learn about the
developmental stages of early language, including brain development, and critical teacher / caregiver practices for
supporting babies’ development in this domain. Using video examples and case studies, the presenter will help participants
to reflect upon their own experiences and the practices they use in the infant or toddler classroom, to build expressive
language and support receptive language in their little ones.
