Information on becoming a provider listed on Child Care Resource & Referral’s database, starting your own Family Child Care Business in your home, and Department of Children & Family Services licensing requirements.
The Recruitment Department provides startup information and technical assistance to those interested in providing care in their home as a profession. CCR&R offers Orientation Workshops called Starting Point and Starting Point II for providers interested in being added to the database. Providers can be listed as licensed exempt until they obtain their license from DCFS. Providers receive information on training’s and conferences being offered by CCR&R and in the community.
Once listed on the database, providers can use the Resource Center which has books, videos, periodicals and equipment that are available fro use in your program. There is no cost to be listed on the database or to use the resource center.
